This policy explains what Tree Removal Cost Calculator collects, why, and who it is shared with. It applies to every page on treecostremovalcalculator.com.

Who operates this site: Tree Removal Cost Calculator is operated by Imtinan Farooq (LinkedIn), sole proprietor and data controller for the purposes of the GDPR. For any privacy request, including access, correction, or deletion, contact support@treecostremovalcalculator.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

1. The Calculators (No Personal Data)

Our calculators are designed for anonymous use. They require no registration, no email address, and no personal information to produce an estimate. Every calculation runs in your browser — the stump diameter, tree height, pricing market, and other values you enter are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you use the “copy link” feature, your inputs are encoded into the URL you generate, so anyone you send that link to can see the values you selected. That is the only way calculator inputs leave your device, and you control it.

We use essential browser storage (localStorage) to remember your cookie-banner choice. That value stays on your device.

2. The Contact Form (Personal Data)

The contact page is the one place on this site where we collect personal data, and only what you choose to type into it.

  • What we collect: the name, email address, and message you submit.
  • Why: to read your message and reply to it. Our legal basis under the GDPR is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you initiated.
  • Where it goes: the submission is delivered by email to our support inbox (support@treecostremovalcalculator.com) using Cloudflare's email routing service. It is not written to a database, not added to a mailing list, and not shared with advertisers, contractors, or any other third party.
  • How long we keep it: messages stay in the support inbox for up to 24 months so we can follow up on corrections and bug reports, then they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your message sooner at any time.

We never sell contact-form data and we do not use it for marketing. There is no newsletter.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, or email) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

4. Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics only after you accept optional analytics in the site banner. If you decline or close the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded by our site banner flow. You can also disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may function differently as a result.

5. Ahrefs Web Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand search visibility, page performance, and aggregate site usage. Ahrefs Web Analytics is used for site measurement and SEO reporting, not for personalized advertising, and loads by default. Ahrefs describes Web Analytics as cookie-free, not based on persistent identifiers, and not collecting or storing personal or identifiable data by default.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & US State Privacy Laws)

Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. Google AdSense is used for advertising on this site, and Google's privacy messages provide GDPR consent controls and US state privacy opt-out controls where required.

  • The right to be informed about the collection and use of your data.
  • The right to access the data we have collected (if any).
  • The right to request the deletion of your data.
  • The right to opt-out of the "sale" of personal information (Note: We do not sell PII).

7. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for property owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, email us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

When this policy changes materially we update the “last updated” date at the top of the page and revise the affected section, rather than replacing the document silently.
