Every figure this site produces is a modelled planning estimate, not a quote. Estimates are generated by an algorithm from published contractor rates, crew and equipment economics, and regional cost differentials. They are not derived from a survey of completed jobs, they are not an offer, and they do not bind us or any contractor to any price.

Actual costs routinely fall outside the ranges shown. Site conditions that cannot be seen from a form — root architecture, internal decay, buried utilities, soil, slope, neighbouring structures — are frequently the largest single cost factor on a real job. Nothing here substitutes for an on-site assessment by a licensed, insured professional, and you should not make a purchase, insurance, tax, or legal decision on the basis of an estimate from this site alone.

2. No Professional Advice

This site publishes general information for homeowner education. It is not arboricultural advice, legal advice, tax advice, insurance advice, or an engineering assessment, and no professional relationship is created by your use of it. Guides covering permits, timber trespass, casualty-loss deductions, and insurance coverage describe general principles that vary by jurisdiction and by the facts of your situation. Consult a qualified professional in the relevant field before acting.

3. Safety

Tree work is among the most dangerous residential work there is. Content on this site that describes felling technique, grinding equipment, or storm-damage response is explanatory, not instructional, and is not a substitute for training. Never attempt work near power lines, on a compromised or leaning tree, or above ground level without appropriate training and equipment. We accept no responsibility for injury or damage arising from work you undertake yourself.

4. Intellectual Property

The written content, calculation logic, data structures, tables, and diagrams on this site are our intellectual property. You are welcome to quote short excerpts and cite our benchmark tables with attribution and a link to the page you took them from — the citation format is given on each data page. You may not scrape the site in bulk, republish substantial portions, or use the content to train commercial models or populate a competing pricing tool without written permission.

5. Advertising and Third-Party Links

This site is supported by advertising, and by using it you acknowledge that third-party advertisements may be displayed. We do not select individual advertisers, do not endorse the products or services advertised, and are not responsible for third-party content. We do not sell leads, take contractor referral fees, or run affiliate links — no contractor pays for placement in any guide or calculator result on this site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its estimates or information — including sums paid to a contractor, work performed or not performed, property damage, or personal injury. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Corrections

If you believe a figure or statement on this site is wrong, tell us at support@treecostremovalcalculator.com. We correct errors on the page rather than removing pages silently, and material corrections update the review date shown on the affected page.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.

10. Governing Law
